Employment Booklet in Serbia Becomes History

One of the Labour Law reforms, brought in order to reduce superfluous paperwork has come into force in the beginning of 2016 – employment booklets are no longer public documents.

The need for the existence of this document has ended, since all information contained in them are now stored electronically in the Central Register of Compulsory Social Insurance and Pension Fund. Municipalities have stopped issuing new employment booklets, while the old ones can still be kept and used as evidence for claiming rights from contractual labour relation.
